Our History
The Ombengu Energy Bushroller was developed in Namibia to tackle the increasing challenge of bush encroachment that affects agricultural land throughout southern Africa. This innovative land restoration technology was crafted in close collaboration with farmers and land operators to offer a practical and cost-effective solution for large-scale land restoration. Since its introduction, the Bushroller has been successfully utilized across extensive farming areas, aiding in the restoration of grazing land, enhancing agricultural output, and promoting sustainable agriculture practices.

Bush encroachment presents a significant challenge that decreases grazing capacity and restricts the productive use of agricultural land. The Ombengu Energy Bushroller serves as an effective land restoration technology, offering a mechanical solution to control woody vegetation while preserving soil structure and supporting the natural recovery of grasslands.

Biomass Utilization
In addition to its role in land restoration technology, the Ombengu Energy Bushroller enables efficient biomass utilization. When equipped with a front rake attachment, it can collect and consolidate cleared woody material for further processing.
The collected biomass can be transformed into wood chips for biomass energy, heating, or industrial use, or processed into charcoal. This capability allows landowners to convert cleared bush into valuable resources, thus creating additional economic value while promoting sustainable agriculture.
